A Note from Kelly

Thank you for visiting my website.

I hope you received my Bedford Update and Important Numbers postcard in the mail. I’m pleased to be able to share so much news about projects and developments in our community.

The provincial budget has made its way through the legislature; it is the fifth balanced budget in a row for Nova Scotia.

The budget makes significant investments to help those members of our community who are not experiencing the same success as other Nova Scotians. You can read more about those investments here.

The Province continues to focus on healthcare with continued investment in doctor recruitment and retention, wait times, access to emergency care, and significant investments in the future of our healthcare system, including the QEII Next Generation Project. The new Bayer’s Lake Community Outpatient Centre is part of this project, and will be located near to the southern side of our Bedford district. You can find out more about this project here.

The budget also includes significant spending on infrastructure. Our growing community has much to celebrate, including two new schools announced last year.

The Sackville-Bedford-Burnside Connector should improve life for commuters here in Bedford by relieving traffic in the northern side of our district, along Dartmouth Road and Magazine Hill.

You can find additional information about these projects and upcoming changes to our electoral boundaries here.

Finally, I do post updates to projects on my Facebook page, so please “like” or “follow” it (@kellyreganns) to access the most current news.

If you have any questions or concerns about any of these issues —or any others— please contact my constituency office, and we will be happy to assist.

I wish you a lovely spring.

Sincerely,

Kelly
