As your MLA, I have the unique opportunity to express gratitude and recognition for outstanding people who make a real difference in our lives. I get to do this during Member’s Statements in the Legislature. It’s a time for sharing the activities and achievements of fellow residents — the business owners who serve our community, the dedicated volunteers who support us, and the unsung heroes who we count on always, as well as those who have achieved notable milestones.
I invite you to submit information about fellow residents whom you believe should be recognized in the House of Assembly, and we’ll craft a Member’s Statement about them.
Whether it’s a neighbour who volunteers at our local food bank, a business owner who creates jobs and supports local causes, or a student who has excelled academically, we want to hear about them.
The Member’s Statement that results will be shared in the Legislature, allowing us to celebrate their achievements — and say a heartfelt thank you.
To nominate someone for this honour, simply send an email to my office with the following information:
- The name of the individual you want to recognize.
- A brief description of their contributions to our community. (The statements must be one minute or less.)
- Why you believe they should be acknowledged in the Legislature.
