Mar 8 – Nova Scotia Power – Outage Update

From Nova Scotia Power:

Crews are safely working to restore power outages caused by strong winds and blowing snow affecting approximately 16,000 customers, primarily in HRM and the southwestern areas of the province.

We have a full complement of crews working and on standby to respond to outages across the province. Crews will be making on-site assessments at each location to ensure it is safe to undertake repairs in these gusty winds. Blowing snow is also causing issues with visibility, which may extend travel times to outage locations.

If there is an outage in the community please report the outage by calling the outage line at 1-877-428-6004 . To get the latest information regarding outages please refer to the outage map (outagemap.nspower.ca) or call the outage line.

Safety is our number one priority. If you see a downed wire, please stay away and report it to us at 1-877-428-6004. If you are concerned about an immediate public or personal safety risk, please call 911.
