Nova Scotia’s biannual call for applications to its agencies, boards, and commissions (ABCs) is now open. These ABCs offer advice and services in various sectors, such as health, policing, agriculture, education, culture, environment, transportation, and professional regulation. Serving on an ABC provides opportunities for personal and professional growth while making a meaningful impact in your community.
The list of ABCs, details about what they do, and information on applying is available here.
Adjudicative ABCs have specific deadlines in the spring and fall of each year. The application deadline for fall 2024 is October 22, 2024. Adjudicative applications received after this date will be considered part of the Spring 2025 recruitment campaign.
All Nova Scotia residents are encouraged to apply and people from diverse communities are encouraged to apply so agencies, boards and commissions better reflect the province’s population.
You can find additional information about the different ABC profiles and what they do and how often they meet, as well as selection criteria and any payments members receive here.
The full list of ABCs which have vacancies can be found online. Please note the list will change as vacancies are filled and others open unexpectedly.
