February is African Heritage Month, a time to celebrate our strengths as a diverse province with a strong African Nova Scotian community and to remember the past to ensure we do not repeat it.
A virtual ceremony was held to unveil this year’s poster and to announce the theme.
The provincial theme, “Through Our Eyes: The Voices of African Nova Scotians,” recognizes the legacies of people of African descent through first voice, lived realities, and experiences.
We’ll continue to create positive changes in Nova Scotia, by recognizing our strength as a province through diversity and inclusion.
