April 8, 2018 – Snowfall warning in effect for:
Halifax Metro and Halifax County West
Snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 20 cm is expected.
A low pressure system will track northeastward toward the Maritimes today, passing east of Nova Scotia tonight.
Snow associated with the low will begin this afternoon and taper off overnight. Total snowfall amounts of 10 to 20 cm are expected. Additionally strong north to northwest winds will develop giving blowing snow over exposed areas this evening and overnight.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.
